I made a nice card, but photographing was not very successful. My camera is not some kind of super-hyper-reflex camera but a little "soap box". I believe there are still others like me, who are not easily able to buy expensive equipment. I have so many others things in my waiting list.

I've seen on the Internet a variety of self-made light boxes. As our children have also a lot of fantasy are all our cardboard boxes already in use as parking garages or the kitchens.

After sitting for a while in children's room I noticed a plastic box of the toys. The idea was born !

Alltoodud fotol saab võrrelda, milline tulemus sai parem. Kas lihtsalt tubastes tingimustes seina ääres (ilma erilise valguse ja koha sättimiseta) või lihtsas mänguasjast meisterdatud valguskastis pildistatud töö? Eriti positiivne on see, et pärast saab taolise valguskasti lihtsalt jälle mänguasju täis toppida :) Siit saab edasi liikuda edevamate konstruktsioonide juurde või leida päevas see aeg, mil aknast tulev valgus on pildistamiseks kõige sobivam. Vahel on aga tore lihtsalt katsetada!

Firstly I emptied the box from toys. I turned it on its side and on the sides I glued pieces of sandwich paper with masking tape . These are necessary in order to soften the light. Into the box I placed on the bottom and of the rear wall a piece of wallpaper which I fold to a proper size.  I watched there was no very sharp transition from floor to wall. Smoother this transition is, the less it is seen in the picture.

I placed lights on the both sides of the box, which could be shifted as needed. I used regular table lamps lighting, but what more powerful light bulbs the more light.

Here are two photos to compare which outcome is better. First picture was taken simply indoors in front of a wall (no special lighting and placing) second was taken in a simple crafted light box. Which looks better? Particularly positive is that after the photo shoot you can fill the box with toys :) And from here you can move on to fancier devices! And you can always look for a right time of a day with nice natural light. Sometimes it's fun to experiment!
