I'm not entirely eco-mom, so around our house can be found the boxes of disposable nappies (If they are not all ready occupied by the children). Over the years has become clear that they are perfectly suited for storing things. Especially when they are improved a little.
You don´t need much for this work. Firstly, a box - whether it's a fruit or a nappy box, or similar. Then, newsapapers, wallpaper or fabric for the cover. Wallpaper can be affixed to carton with glue. I used fabric for a coating with a Hot Glue last time. It is precisely because the fabric was not very thick and I had no Fabric Glue. I intimidated that ordinary crafting glue begins to come through too much. Secondly, I wanted to test whether this method is more durable and reliable because of the paper tends to wear out faster, and to come loose the glue . The work will start with drawing the necessary pieces on the cover material (stencil is box itself). In most cases, there are three pieces. One big piece that covers two broader sides and the bottom. And two smaller pieces to cover the sidewalls.. Later, I covered the inner sides of the covers that it would be nicer for the eye to look when you open the box.
Viimasele kastile lisasin kaunistuseks kaks jutepaela ning peale nööbi, mille abil kast kinni seisab. Aasaks kasutasin enda patsikummi :) Mõlemad siin esiletud kastid on tehtud kodust leitud materjalidest, ilma et oleks midagi poest juurde ostnud. Tuleb vaid lasta fantaasial lennata :)
I added to my fabric-covered box two burlap ribbons and the button. For a loop I used my hair tie:) Both here presented boxes are made from materials found in the home, without buying anything extra from store. It is necessary to let the imagination fly :)
A couple of days is our daughter engaged in her own project - a doll house. Such work is nice as it can always be improved and expanded as needed. It is always worth to encourage creativity in children, because it is the foundation for the future.
A few more examples of how we have used nappy boxes- a doll house and a kitchen.
